General Visitor Visa
As a general visitor to the UK on a temporary visa, you must be able to show that:
•you are 18 or over;
•you only want to visit the UK for up to six months, or up to 12 months if you are accompanying an academic visitor;
•you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visitor visa;
•You have enough money to support and accommodate yourself without working or help from UK public funds, or you and any dependants will be supported and accommodated by relatives or friends;
•You can meet the cost of the return or onward journey; and you are not in transit to a country outside the common travel area.
•You must also show that, during your visit, you do not intend to: take employment, produce goods or provide services, including the selling of goods or services direct to members of the general public;
•Undertake a course of study;
•Marry or form a civil partnership, or give notice of marriage or civil partnership;
•Carry out the activities of a BUSINESS VISITOR, a SPORTS VISITOR or an ENTERTAINER VISITOR; or receive PRIVATE MEDICAL TREATMENT. You will need to apply under a separate subcategory for all above IN CAPITALS call us on 0845 2911229 for assistance.

Tier 1 Visas: Investors, entrepreneurs.
As one of the above, you do not need an employer sponsor if you are applying for a Tier 1 Visa. When applying under Tier 1 visas, you are awarded points based on your qualifications, your previous earnings, your UK experience, age, your English language skills and your maintenance (funds) all these requirements make up 3 sections called attributes, Language & Maintenance you are required to score 75 points for attributes, 10 points for Language, & 10 points also for Maintenance.
From the 5th April 2011 General Tier 1 & PSW (Post Study Workers) routes will have closed. Out of Country General Tier 1 routes have already been closed by the Foreign office.

Tier 2 visa - Skilled workers
What is the skilled workers category?
Tier 2 Visas (General) is for any Non-EU in or coming to the UK with a skilled workers job either on shortage occupations list or a General job offer to fill a vacancy that cannot be filled by a settled worker.
Before applying under the skilled workers category Tier 2 Visas (General), you must have: – a sponsor; and – a valid (certificate of sponsorship) COS worth either 30 points or 50 points (Shortage occupations & other specified catagories)
When you apply under skilled workers category you are awarded points based on you’re: – qualifications; – future expected earnings; – sponsorship; – English language skills; – Available maintenance (funds).

Tier 4 (General) Student
Students can apply as adult students under Tier 4 visas (General) of the points based system if they come to the UK to study Higher Education.
Student visitor
Applicants can apply as a student visitor if they are 18 years +, you want to come and study in the UK for maximum of 6 months, and you dont need to work while you are here. Applicants cant switch and apply for a Tier 4 visas(General) student visa while still in the UK as a student visitor. Applicants looking to apply for an Tier 4 visas (General) student visa, must apply from their country of origin.
Prospective students
Applicants can apply as a prospective student if they want to come to the UK to decide which course to study, as long as they plan to start a course within 6 months. You will be able to switch and apply for a Tier 4 visas (General) or Tier 4 visas (Child) student visa while you are in the UK if your on a Prospective student visa.
